Welcome to the Salley Gardens!

On this page you will find practical information and agreements for your stay at De Wilgentuin.

Please respect the (night) rest of the neighbours and do not make noise after 10pm in the evening and before 7am in the morning.

1. Use of garden furniture, sunshade

During the spring and summer months, there is a garden table set on the terrace. There is also a BBQ set provided outside. The sunshade is built into the terrace cover, and it’s electrically operated.

2. coffee and tea

In the kitchen, you can find a pot of coffee and tea bags. You may use as much as you like.

3. Use of washing machine and dryer 

You can use the washing machine and dryer in the storage room. If the weather is good, you can hang your laundry outside to dry. A drying rack and clothespins are available in the storage room.

4. Waste 

Garbage bags for PMD, residual waste, glass, organic waste, and paper/cardboard can be found in the garage.

  • PMD
    • P = plastic bottles and flasks of shower gel, drink bottles, shampoo, detergent flasks
    • M = metal packaging of drink cans, canned food cans, food and cosmetic spray cans, aluminium trays and containers, metal lids and caps 
    • D = drink cartons 

What should not be put in the PMD bag? All other plastic packaging and objects (For example, yogurt jars, butter dishes, plastic bags and foil, charcuterie boards, fruit trays), aluminium foil and Styrofoam.

  • Paper and cardboard

Please put all papers in a box or tie them in bales with natural twine; remove plastic wrapping from newspapers, magazines, or advertising leaflets; fold cardboard boxes together.

  • Household waste = grey garbage bag

The bags should be carefully closed and should not show any tears, cracks, or leaks; do not push your waste too firmly into the bag. The garbage bag is not very elastic. Sharp objects such as small shards of glass, satay sticks, (shaving) blades, should be well wrapped and deposited in the middle of the garbage bag. This way they’re no longer dangerous and do not tear the garbage bag.

  • Glass

Only glass bottles and jars are allowed in the glass container. Reinforced glass, mirror glass, car windows, lamps, fire-resistant glass, cathode ray tubes, greenhouse glass, eyeglasses, porcelain, earthenware, and window glass are not accepted. The lids and stoppers must be removed, and the bottles and jars must be rinsed.

  • Organic waste (GFT) 

Vegetable, fruit, and garden waste must be deposited in the green GFT container, which is located outside.

The renter undertakes to correctly sort their waste. Appropriate waste bags will be provided. In case of non-compliance with these rules, a cumulative contribution of thirty (€30.00) EUR will be charged.

5. Facilities 

The house is exclusively intended for holiday rental. The holiday home has 10 sleeping places and facilities for a maximum of 10 people. The house is not allowed to be occupied with more than the maximum number of people mentioned. Included in the price. is bed linen, bath linen, kitchen linen, water, electricity, heating, final cleaning, welcome drink and service package (coffee, tea, sponge, dishcloth, mop, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper and hand soap).

6. Damage and theft

Any damage caused by the tenant, his travel companions or visitors to the property or the furniture must be immediately reported to the landlord. If no damage to the property or furniture or alienation of the furniture is observed, the landlord will return the security deposit to the tenant within one month after the rental period. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this will be done to the account number mentioned on the first page of this agreement.

The tenant undertakes to treat the rented property and its contents in all situations as a good householder. This includes, among other things, closing windows and doors in case of wind/rain, locking the property when absent, and using water, electricity, and heating reasonably. Excessive use will be deducted from the paid security deposit.

The tenant is responsible for theft and damage to the household content if the theft occurs without signs of break-in.

The tenant is liable for any damage caused to the rented property, whether caused by themselves, their travel companions, and/or visitors.

7. Agreements

  • Dogs are allowed in the property. A fee of 45€ per stay will be charged.
  • Parties are not allowed.
  • Before leaving the property, the tenant must leave it in a tidy condition. Everything will be put back in its original place, dishes will be washed, and all used appliances will be cleaned. The bed linen must be removed and placed in the garage. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in additional cleaning costs of 50€.
  • The water, gas, and electricity consumption are included in the rental price, provided that it is a normal use.
  • Internet is available in the property, and the use of the internet during the rental period is entirely the responsibility of the tenant. All internet traffic is recorded on our IP address, and illegal downloading is prohibited.
  • Grease and frying oil must not be poured into the sink or drain.
  • There is a municipal police regulation in force that can administratively fine night noise.
  • The household fire regulations, the location of the emergency exits, and fire extinguishers must be checked before using the property.
  • A map with emergency lighting, fire detection, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits is available in the stairwell.
  • The stairs, corridors, and doors must be kept clear to allow for a quick and easy evacuation of the building. Doors inside leading to emergency exits may not be locked or obstructed.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the building. If smoking is done outside, please make sure that cigarette butts end up in the ashtray. Please empty the ashtrays at the end of your stay.
  • Owned electrical devices must be technically sound and not overload the electrical installation.
  • Please do not throw any objects or substances in the toilets that do not belong there. This includes diapers, sanitary pads (even mini ones) or tampons, as well as grease and food.
  • Storing fireworks in the property and igniting fireworks around the property is strictly prohibited.
  • Lighting candles in the property is not allowed, only tea lights in holders are allowed. The holders for these tea lights are available.
